Recce
Time for an adventure!
‘Recce’ is an old army term – short for ‘reconnoitre’ – a general would send a recce squad ahead of the troop, to scout ahead and get the lay of the land, and see what challenges and opportunities lay in store…
We’re not an army – and we’re not fighting a war – but we do have some big challenges ahead. So, over the next few months, we’re going to organise a few ‘recce’ days out – a chance to visit other churches, community groups and projects. We’ll see what ideas are cooking out there – what works and what doesn’t – and see what might give us inspiration for our future rebuilding plans here in Greenisland.
Everyone is welcome – just arrive at Greenisland Methodist by 10am on Saturday 28th of March for our first Recce day. We’re travelling to the far side of Belfast, so we’ll pool cars and see if we can get ourselves sorted into as few vehicles as possible. Bring a packed lunch – there’ll also be chances to stop for coffees and snacks – but we’ll be home in time for tea.
If you’ve got any queries, you can ask Chris all about it on Sunday…
Fall IN!
